Antje Schiffers began by giving a vivid account of her three-month journey to Italy as a 'travelling painter', a trip on which Munich had been her first stop, in December 2000. Then those present discussed what should happen to the painting of Messestadt Riem that she had been commissioned to paint in return for free board and lodging and was now showing in public for the first time. It was decided that every resident of Messestadt could borrow the picture for a month. The first applicants entered their names in a list.
