23.11.2000 Riemer Runde: Michael Clegg and Martin Guttmann

Michael Clegg and Martin Guttmann acquainted residents with the interactive architecture project they had developed for Messestadt Riem. During discussion time the artists asked participants what they wished to use the building for, which shapes and materials they favoured and how they thought the structure should be supervised and maintained. At the suggestion of one member of the audience, those present used pencil and paper to set down their ideas. Opinion was more or less unanimous on certain features: the building should contain a large central space with a big table, smaller rooms for two to four people and a roofed-over outside area; it should also offer views, have round or oval shapes and be light and colourful.
