The German artists Kathrin Böhm, Andreas Lang and Stefan Saffer have produced their work in accordance with the wishes of its users. In connection with last year's theme, 'Wohnwelten' (residential worlds), they talked with local firemen about possible changes to the new fire station in Messestadt Riem. Subsequently, they approached the architect of the fire station, Reinhard Bauer, and worked out three proposals that were now implemented. A clear indication of the building’s function as a fire station has been added to the facade, the rest rooms have been equipped with adjustable wall coverings and informal seating has been installed in the communal area.
