Stephen Craig |
Stephen Craig’s pavilion, which he calls ‘Wishing
Well’, met two demands voiced by Messestadt Riem
inhabitants – for more colour and for a further
permanent work of art in their urban environment. The
works of this Irish artist inhabit an intermediary
world between architecture and sculpture. His open
pavilion is set up in a green area on Willy-Brandt-Allee
with some seats. Brightly coloured and with a number
of mobile elements, its effect should be lively and
entertaining. In this way the artist hopes to provide
residents with a permanent place to meet and relax
in, a place that will encourage them to articulate
their wishes.
